If you have ever thought about getting certified as an Imago Relationship Therapist, now is the time! You will get a solid training in the basics of Imago theory and practice, and learn the latest advances and techniques of this dynamic approach. You will be able to present yourself as a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist, and get referrals from the Imago Institute. In addition, you will be entering a vibrant world-wide community of therapists dedicated to the advancement of this work, and have all the support and advanced training opportunities that this offers.
Imago Relationship Therapy (IRT) was developed by Harville Hendrix, Ph.D., author of the best-selling "Getting the Love You Want". The model has deepened and expanded over the years, and continues to be on the cutting edge of relationship therapies. In this training, you will learn:
•A comprehensive theory of relationships, and how to apply this theory in your practice working with couples.
•How to identify core relationship issues-getting beneath the surface issues so that you can effect change on the deepest levels.
•A variety of powerful interventions which will increase your effectiveness and confidence working with couples.
•A model that teaches couples how to move from conflict to connection, and to utilize their relationship for growth and healing.
•To understand your own relationship dynamics, and how to apply this knowledge for personal growth/healing and for the enhancement of your intimate relationships.
For the first time in close to 15 years, this training program will be available in the Boulder/Denver area. Space is limited, so reserve your spot as soon as possible.
Admission Requirements
· Participation in a "Getting the Love You Want": Workshop for Couples led by a certified workshop presenter prior to the training. (Note: Participation should be with your partner, if you are in a committed relationship. Single therapists may attend with intimate partner, close friend, relative, or colleague).
· Possession of an advanced degree in the mental health field and membership in a recognized professional association (i.e. NASW, AAMFT, APA, AAPC, etc.).
· Current clinical practice with couples.
· License to practice psychotherapy if required by state.
· 300 hours of post graduate supervision (150 hours must be one-on-one supervision). Supervision means time spent with supervisor, not client hours.

Graduate students in the fields of counseling/psychology/social work are welcome to attend, though you will not be eligible for certification until you have completed your degree.
Each applicant will be considered on their own merits. If you do not have all of the above credentials, please attach a cover letter to your application which addresses the exception.
